I quit eating at Tom's deli 3 yearns ago. They are very rude, and confrontational. Every request causes an argument. Very hostile environment. All i wanted was a sandwich without lettuce, was yelled at because it came with it and I didn't know, or request it fast enough. Stay away...far away. Looking at other reviews makes me know...i'm not the problem.

Excellent sandwiches and great service. Everytime I go to St. George I have to go there.

Tom's is great! Kind of a small, old-school sandwich shop with good, quality meat, cheese, and breads. They don't have tons of veggies - mainly just lettuce and tomatoes - but they do a great job. I have done both hot and cold sandwiches and both have been fantastic. I would strongly recommend trying anything with Pastrami, as theirs is excellent. Also, don't forget that most of the fixin's are added after they give you the sandwich.

I have to admit it, my review may be a bit biased because I didn't get a meat sandwich. We stumbled upon here in the middle of our motorcycle trip and stopped to grab a sandwich. Bf got a turkey sandwich and enjoyed it. I got one of their cheese sandwiches and loaded up on shredded lettuce and mustard to try to make a tasty sandwich. Pros: Quick friendly service, spread and produce bar, many different meat sandwiches. Cons: Produce bar limited to shredded lettuce and tomatoes, no veggie options but a cheese sandwich, warehouse feeling atmosphere. Overall: Would recommend if you like meat sandwiches with little produce.

I've been here a couple of times and I admit, I've always gone for the Reuben as I'm a fan of their sauerkraut. While it's not "shout it from the rooftops" good, it is good enough to visit on a monthly basis. Overall, nice little shop and would recommend to others. Super size is a pretty good value.

Seriously delicious sandwiches! Everything was so fresh and the bread was heavenly! This is a must stop if you are visiting St. George. And if you live here, how do you stay away?!?! Writing this review is making me crave another delicious sandwich right now!!

Menu features hot and cold sandwiches, many featuring pastrami. For better or worse, this location does not put condiments on sandwiches and instead directs you over to a condiment bar with different types of mayo, mustard, relishes, and additional veggie toppings to add to your sandwich to your liking. This concept is not great, IMO- if I wanted to fully customize my own sandwich, I'd hit up Subway. When i go to a deli, I go for high quality meats and cheeses paired with the appropriate condiments by someone far more knowledgeable than myself. Pastrami sandwich with swiss and a very bland sauerkraut was unremarkable and in fact a bit on the small side with a meager portion of meat and heap of 'kraut. Not balanced in proportions, not balanced in flavor. Interior of store itself is very basic. If other reviews didn't tell me they'd been here for years, I would have cut them some slack for being new- looks like they just moved into an old office building, dragged in some tables and hung up a menu. Lack of effort in decor mirrors lack of effort in kitchen execution. Better options available.

If I could give zero stars for customer service, I would. The staff was rude and completely unaccommodating when I requested to have my sandwich cut in half as I would be eating on the road due to long travel time across multiple states. They said no, because it would dull their knife. Seriously? Never giving them my business again. Sandwich was nothing special.. What I expected.. Two stars.

Stopped for lunch driving through St. George today on a trip from Southern California to Provo, UT. Lets just say that I was shocked, the food was wonderful and the prices very reasonable. The greatest thing was the lack of a chain food feel, just a total local vibe that was incredible. We also received great service from the kids working behind the counter.

Like the reviewer before me said, I didn't have high expectations for this place - but it was really yummy. I got the 'X' sandwich which is turkey and roast beef. The bread is super soft and good. I added banana peppers and it was delish! The interior is a bit dated and yucky but the food was great! I'd for sure go back!

I didn't have high expectations based on other reviews, but I really enjoyed my sandwich. They said the Toni Special was their most popular so I tried it and it was great. You have to ask for lettuce with hot sandwiches, which I did, and added Italian dressing and mustard. It was great.

Few places impress me so much I remember from visit to visit what it is I want to order. I hadn't been to Tom's for over 4 years... walked in... and just said "Super-Sour-Swiss-M" ... added some horseradish on the side ... and I was once again... in Tom's Deli heaven. Shared a bite of my sandwich and the response was "OMG - one of the best I've ever tasted".... go... go often... enjoy for me as I don't live in town. YUM!

Sandwich was good - not all that special but I was happy enough. I try to stay away from chain places if I can help it on trips, and this place was a good find. Sandwiches were big and full of meat. I had a hot sandwich. Can't remember what it was called. But the pastrami and turkey meat were good. They normall don't include it, but I asked them and they were happy to throw some lettuce and tomatoes on top which made the sandwich taste better. Better balance. Otherwise, it is just bread with a bunch of meat and some cheese. Very simple menu - sandwiches, a few sides, and that is pretty much it. Would stop by again on my way to Zion if I was in St. George and felt like a sandwich.
